Retirement & Long-Term Assets¶
- 401k — grows each year with your contributions and employer match. From the Finance menu you can withdraw the balance as a lump sum once you're 59½+ (taxed as income; a 10% penalty applies if you withdraw earlier). Eligibility is age-based — being unemployed doesn't matter.
- Pension — government/Directorate pensions pay a percentage of your salary for life once vested.
- IPO shares — if you float one of your businesses, the stake you keep becomes shares you can hold, and they pass to your heir when you continue as your child.
